Design and Colours
A few years ago a company with the name of fruit started the boxy design of phones with flat sides which became a great hit and then it slowly became a trend changer. Note 13 also follows the trend it is boxy with flat sides. The design looks like there are two eyes in the back but the finish looks cool. so people may like it some may not. It's up to you. The build quality, ya could be better since Xiaomi always gives importance to what's inside. To make it affordable they used high-quality plastics instead of metal which is acceptable at this price point. When talking about colours it comes in three colours such as Prism Gold, Stealth Black and Arctic White.

Redmi Note 13 Display |
The Screen of Note 13 5G is much slimmer than that of the normal Note 13. The display comes with 1080P resolution 120 Hz refresh rate and Gorilla 5 Glass protection which adds up the worthiness of the Flagship Phone from Redmi.
Camera
|
Redmi Note 13 Camera |
I will assure you if you are a photo freak who loves to take photos on phones. Then you gonna definitely not get disappointed with the cameras. The cameras were awesome and it's the main stuff in the Redmi Note 13 series. But in the back, only the main 108MP camera feels truly capable of taking wonderful pictures but the remaining cameras were not up to the mark they will provide you enough to capture moments. Also, the 5G Version Camera were more capable than the 4G Version Camera. Here are some of the sample pictures.
Even in low lighting, the 108MP camera performs well, but the Ultra-wide camera is good for only daylight it is a poor performer in low light or at night.
Video Recording
We get a decent 1080P resolution recording but not 4K resolution but the video stabilization function works pretty well. There is definitely a video quality difference between the 4G and 5G editions. The 5G is a big upgrade.
While recording you can able to zoom in and out with the help of a digital button on the screen the button response is not that great but it does its job well. At the same time, we can't able to switch between the ultra-wide camera and the normal camera. So each time before recording we need to select the type of camera that needs to be deployed before recording and there is no switchover between the camera in the middle of recording.
Performance
We did some checking with it and it is only best suited for daily usage not made for heavy and continuous gaming. The Mediatek processor does its job but it's not for gaming I am mentioning hardcore gamers. So even the base model gets 128 GB storage capacity so you will have plenty of storage space. From this point, I think the phone has been made to capture the moment of your life with the wonderful 108MP camera and get it stored with occasional gaming not for full-time gaming.
Software
Note 13 Comes with Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top of it. Redmi OS does its job very well but the problem that is common with all Redmi mobiles is background apps precisely need to say a lot of apps and the notifications that they send that run continuously. You can turn them off in settings or uninstall some. Redmi assured us that they will provide OS updates for 2 years and Security updates for 4 years which literally means that you will get Andriod 14 and Andriod 15 Updates in the future.
Battery
They Nailed it. Redmi Note 13 5G comes with a 33W charger which juices up the 5000mAh battery in 1 hour and 30 minutes. From our test, the battery lasts for nearly 10 hours on continuous video streaming 12 hours on Continous web browsing and 9 hours on 3D gaming. So the battery is a major plus point of the Redmi Note 13 5G along with its Camera. But the charger is a wired one, not wireless.
Audio Quality and Haptics
If you are a wired headphone lover congrats you are saved, you get a 3.5mm headphone jack which is becoming rare these days and in the days to come. The sound quality from the built speaker of Redmi Note 13 5G is loud but not with depth i.e. you can't get the tiniest details of the song you want to hear and the mild variations.
Let's see the Competitors
You see, the competitors of Redmi Note 13 5G are not well designed like that Redmi or they don't provide 128Gb big storage capacity but they mainly focus on the performance front. Wonder who, ya it's the Motorola G84 5G and Samsung Galaxy A345G.
For Whom Redmi Note 13 5G
If you love to take a lot of pictures to capture the moment and need a lot of storage to back it up with a decent gaming and performance experience with a smooth OS then go for Redmi Note 13 5G.
